Bakery Schlief, Neunkirchen
Spacious area with a cosy atmosphere
From 50 to 190 m², from narrow to expansive and bright: The Schlief Bakery has evolved from a small store to a spacious location with a café and a garden at the Neunkirchen site. AICHINGER provided support from the location analysis to the concept and the function, design and lighting planning.
With a skillful mix of old wood, historical photos and utensils from the bakery, stools made of synthetic fur and industrial loft design, a high quality of hospitality was created that is both cozy and up to date. The bakery bakes on site and continuously replenishes the 4m long ARTline counter and the PANEVARI bread shelf. The spacious café with 22 seats and 16 high seats and the guest garden with more than 30 seats is very inviting for breakfast, lunch snacks and coffee and cake.
An urban flair with a Mexican touch
Already 25 years ago, Markus Lehner, a Nuremberg gastro-institution and opened Enchilada at the Obstmarkt, as one of the first Mexican restaurants in Nuremberg. Just in time for their anniversary, the store shines in new splendor.
Markus Lehner used the lockdown to rebuild the Enchilada, which still exudes the charm of the last decades.
The combination of copper, steel and wood in the wall design and the seating area give the spaciously designed rooms a noble yet inviting ambience. The centerpiece, the bar, was completely renovated and supplemented by an open, rather futuristic shelf construction. The elegant palm-print wallpaper perfects the new look well.
Bakery Koll in Neustadt
Statement for design and quality
An ATM in a bakery? What might seem unusual has a history, and at the new location of the Bäckerei Konditorei Koll bakery in Wiener Neustadt, there is now a good reason for it. Only an illuminated sign on the facade reminds us of the former branch of a Raiffeisen bank in Pottendorfer Straße - and the ATM in the foyer. This is not a foreign element, but an additional customer magnet for the ninth and largest location of the bakery from Kirchschlag. Out of the former 130 m2 bank branch, Master baker Reinhold Koll has built a 235 m2 free stander with 50 seats and 60 seats in the outdoor area. Reinhold Koll was accompanied from the location analysis, the planning and approval phase, through to the supervision of construction and the complete execution of the furnishings and AICHINGER counter. The new flagship store is a statement for the quality standards of the expanding family business - in shop furnishings, service and the quality of the baked goods, pastries and warm snacks and meals. Distinctive red perforated bands frame the glass facade of the low-rise building. The corporate color red also embraces the design inside: Red on the coffee bar, the seat cushions, room dividers and on the ceiling. With the Artline counter, which perfectly underlines the high quality of the products, and the Panevari Style bread shelf, the Koll bakery relies on two very flexible presentation systems. With the spacious interior design and the outdoor area, a future-oriented and sustainable location has been created.

When it comes to sausages ...
... it’s to the butcher's shop Marx! This is the motto of the butcher's shop in Longuich, which was founded in 1996. The daily freshness of the meat and sausage products is ensured not only by the controlled slaughtering but also by the qualified employees in the production as well. Recently, the service in Longuich was expanded considerably with the reconstruction of the sales rooms. To ensure that the goods could also be perfectly presented, Stephan Marx relied completely on the extensive experience of AICHINGER success consultant Bernd Ott and of course on the sales-promoting AICHINGER products.

Ryfylke Bakery, Tau
The Ryfylke Bakery with its new branch in Tau's R13 Shopping Centre is definitely worth a visit. The landscape of Norway with its gigantic fjords and bizarre mountain worlds can be found here throughout the entire shop design. Warm wood, natural stone and the different shades of grey in the flooring and the seating give the bakery a very special character. The eye-catcher: Our ARTline counter - This not only provides the fitting technology but also makes cleaning very easy for the sales assistants. The supportless glass top allows a clear view of the baked goods and fits well with the front design.
Butchery Gierstorfer, Regensburg
For 20 years the Butchery Gierstorfer from Pfatter in the county of Regensburg in the Donau-Einkaufszentrum/Shopping Centre (DEZ) Regensburg has been selling its meat and sausage specialities with great success. Now the shop has been completely renovated. On a large open space on the ground floor of the DEZ, the new shop was built in a record time of only 14 days. The new store presents itself with the eye-catching focal point: The SIRIUS®3 refrigerated counter from AICHINGER which skilfully stages the specialities and provides them with optimal climate control. In addition, the warm sales counter in combination with the AICHINGER Platte 74 offers an appealing presentation of the food. Customers are delighted and praise the new take-away concept, says Master Butcher Artur Gierstorfer.
Petrol Station Dalacker, Herlikofen
Petrol Station Dalacker
At the edge of Herlikofen towards Brainkofen, the operator "Ludwig Dalacker & Sohn" shows how well a petrol station and bistro can be combined. The store concept with its distinctive design is convincing above all through its state-of-the-art technology and first-class quality. The ARTline sales counter is of course ideal for the integrated bakery. The column-free glass top, the individual front design and the high-quality materials offer a superb stage directly in front of the customer. In addition to the perfect presentation of goods, in an extension of the counter front, both chilled and non-chilled drinks can also be offered.
Butcher Heindl, Hauzenberg
Honest quality since 1889
The Heindl Butcher's Shop, founded in 1889 in Untergriesbach in the eastern district of Passau, has in recent years seen eventful times. In July 2013 a part of the rear building of the main shop burned down, which resulted in all manner of new building and conversions. With Carmen Heindl and Christoph Scheer, the 5th generation is now being represented in the company today. So now it was really time to also carry out a conversion of the store in Hauzenberg. The former sales room was converted into a comfortable sitting and eating area. Due to these conceptional changes, there was now the possibility to extend the product range and to fulfil the most diverse customer wishes. Our award-winning refrigerated counter SIRIUS®3 was installed, which offers many advantages over other refrigerated counters. Perfect ergonomics, excellent temperature stability and uniquely high energy efficiency are just three of the major advantages that can be mentioned here. The "Platte 64" from AICHINGER opens up new possibilities for the presentation of warm, ready-cooked dishes.
Indoor Market Hall by real, Aschaffenburg
Market hall Aschaffenburg
Real has added another location to its indoor market hall concept. The next store of this kind has now opened in Aschaffenburg. Within twelve months, the Metro subsidiary has thus launched four such market halls.
The heart of the new indoor market is the fresh food section. AICHINGER success consultant Ingolf Weiershaus planned the entire meat, sausage, fish and cheese departments together with all those responsible. A myriad of module variations creates an exclusive look for the SIRIUS3 counter area. In addition to the top products SIRIUS3 and the AirMaxx circulating air refrigerated counter, the SIRIUS SetPOINT glass showcases round off an impressive and sophisticated presentation of goods.
E-Center Louzil, Lauf an der Pegnitz
A shopping experience in a class of its own
High-quality materials, an extensive range of products and a modern fresh produce area are just three of the many reasons to visit the new Louzil E-Centre in Lauf an der Pegnitz. The new E-Center with 3000 square metres of sales area in the building of the former EWS store, has opened after an extensive renovation phase. Wolfgang Louzil and Christoph Schmitt, who already manage EDEKA stores in the region, are together the new operators.
In addition to the extensive wine and cheese department, customers in the new store will find a spacious FreshMaxx salad bar, an inviting sushi stand and state-of-the-art service areas for meat, sausage, cheese and fish. Outfitted with AICHINGER quality products such as the refrigerated counter SIRIUS3 and the refrigerated cabinet TopSpot, the fresh sausage and meat products are impressively presented. An absolute eye-catcher is the round AirMaxx circulating air refrigerated counter. All these special features put this store into a supermarket class of its own!
Bakery Plank, Postbauer-Heng
The Plank Bakery from Mühlhausen on the edge of the Altmühltal valley is a perfect example of how the traditional bakery trade can be combined with a franchise business. The bakery is currently run by two generations: Hermann and Jakob Plank manage the large company together. Plank is working with AICHINGER for the fourth time now and was also the first contact person for the new branch in the REWE store in Postbauer-Heng near Neumarkt. The concept development and concept implementation were mainly focused on two core issues: Firstly, of course, the traditional clientele closely associated with the baker should continue to be addressed, but at the same time the target group of self-service buyers in the supermarket should be made more aware of the product range. The goods are presented in an AICHINGER-ARTline counter. This not only provides the right technology but also makes cleaning easy for the sales personnel. The supportless glass top allows a clear view of the baked goods and goes well with the unique front design.
The "KONRAD" office building in Munich-Riem has now been enriched with an in-house staff restaurant. Over the 363 m² space, a distinctive and future-oriented gastronomy concept was created. The tenant "leonardi" relies on freshness, quality, regionality and genuine craftsmanship at the three action counters with "Front Cooking". Above all, the guest area is impressive with its variety of well-thought out sections. As individual as the guests themselves are, there is always the right place for every visitor. In addition to the possibility of a quick coffee or lunch, the canteen can also be used as a "work café". Here, "feeling good" comes first, which is supported by the use of abundant wood and exciting colour and material contrasts.
Herford Market Hall, Herford
Herford Market Hall
The Herford Market Hall is the jewel in the heart of the city. For more than 100 years weekly markets have been held here regularly. After several years of reconstruction, the market hall, which is protected as an historic monument, has reopened and offers a variety of delicious regional products to hungry visitors, commuters and travellers over an area of around 1,000 m². Whether organic food, wine, fresh pasta, sausage and meat specialities, the finest baked goods or coffee delights, no wish is left unfulfilled here. Countless individual market stalls offer an impressive variety of goods.
In addition to this, there is now also an unmistakable design that allows the individual market stalls to harmonise perfectly: Natural materials, light colours and classic elements of a weekly market.
Finger food, plates of free samples to taste or small snacks can be eaten at bar tables and seating groups in the hall. Being together in the midst of the hustle and bustle of shopping makes the visit a special experience.
Rice On!, Stuttgart
Inspired by the street food markets of Asia, Rice On! Asian fusion to Germany. According to the principle "Mix it your way", your own individual bowls can be put together however you like. In this way, new favourite dishes are created daily in the "Bowl system gastronomy". Fitting to this, a modern, casual shop design was implemented in close cooperation with AICHINGER. From the consultation, to the planning, to the complete execution of building work, everything comes from one single source. A special construction of the counter allows a unique presentation of the fresh ingredients of choice for the Bowls.
Sunflower Garden centre, Frankfurt am Main
Fresh food market with a holiday ambiance
The Sunflower garden centre in Kalbach is not just a garden centre but also a fresh produce market with a holiday atmosphere. Already in the entrance area one’s view falls onto the elegantly curved counters. The ARTline counter is an individual special construction with an exclusive, column-less glass top, the front of which is clad in warm wood tones. The ambience of the fresh food market and especially the new food assortment, such as South Tyrolean bacon or mountain farm cheese, are reminiscent of the South Tyrolean Alps. The matching design elements skillfully round off the store concept.
The Dairy of Delight
In the new Genuss-Meierer (Dairy of Delight), origin and regionality meet pleasure and innovation. "Meierer" is a traditional name for "dairy". Thus, the Genuss-Meierer with its name alone already announces what it is all about: the roots of Carinthian milk (Kärntnermilch), the highest quality work of the farmers, the traditional food production and the careful processing. As Carinthia's largest direct marketer, the Genuss-Meierei once again makes Carinthian milk an ambassador of good taste and offers a platform for premium products from the homeland. On an attractive and modernly designed sales area of 250 square metres, customers will be able to get a closer look at the production and processing of the prized milk from the region and can see that Kärntnermilch is not about mass production, but rather quality work and regionalism. This also applies to the shop fittings. To ensure that the fine goods are presented perfectly, Kärtnermilch Managing Director Helmut Petschar relied entirely on the extensive experience of AICHINGER's success consultant Ernst Sommerauer and, of course, on the sales-promoting AICHINGER products.

Made a find here!
If you are looking for an organic bakery, you will quickly make a find at the organic bakery Wagner. Because the bakery near Passau has been a 100% organic business since 2007. The furnishing concept is convincing with all natural, high-quality materials, clear lines and the appealing seating area.
In over 12-metre counters, Wagner presents an extensive gastronomic selection: pastries, pizzas and baked rolls. Offers "all around the dough" as the master baker puts it. The successful concept also includes an organic bread school for children and adults to raise awareness of organic and sustainability issues. According to Wagner, credibility, reliable and fair relations with suppliers and customers are the decisive factors for the healthy development of the company.
Zott Genusswelt, Asbach Bäumenheim

The selection that the Zott Dairy offers its customers in the new World of Enjoyment on the Bundesstraße 2 in Bäumenheim (district Donau-Ries) is not an everyday experience. The family-owned dairy located in Mertingen has broken new ground with the concept of its outlet store. Zott calls its outlet, which sets standards with 1300 square meters in an architecturally appealing building, a Genusswelt (World of Enjoyment). In addition to the outstanding architecture and the very attractive product presentation, the high quality of interior atmosphere played a decisive role in the jury's decision.
Bakery Ziegler, Munich
The traditional art of baking with modern demands
With its 24 branches in and around Munich, the Ziegler bakery has stood for traditional craftsmanship and passionate baking for four generations.
Together with the support of AICHINGER, the Ziegler family planned a further store concept in Leopoldstrasse in Munich. An important part of the shop interior was of course the service counter. Since the family attaches great importance to handcrafted products and that the classic range is continuously being supplemented by exciting new products, sufficient space as well as an unrestricted view of the goods is required. Thanks to the AICHINGER ARTline counter, these demands were perfectly met and new standards in reliability and design have been set. As far as the design of the seating area is concerned, nothing was left to chance. A welcoming atmosphere has been created thanks to the many meticulous details and high-quality materials. The inviting ambiance is the most decisive aspect besides the quality of the products.

Amidst the stylish industrial design are large artificial trees and sculptures, the walls are decorated with imaginative wallpaper or brick.
The main entrance to the dining room is right next to the hot counter. To ensure that the meat loaf from Häfele's own production also receives a perfect spot, it is placed on the AICHINGER Plate 74. With this newly developed platter, hot dishes can be presented in an exclusive way and at the same time kept at a perfect temperature to the nearest degree. However, changing to other systems (GN containers) is still possible and thus guarantees maximum flexibility in daily use. EDEKA Ueltzhöfer, Ellhofen
Steffen Ueltzhöfer, in his newest EDEKA store in Ellhofen, consistently focuses on fresh produce competency, regionality and the immediate spatial proximity of the service counter and the self-service area. And with success. The location, which opened in 2018, generates around half of its turnover with fresh products. It becomes visible and tangible in the meat, cheese and sausage, fruit and vegetable departments. Written in big letters on the wall and of course, in the local dialect. For Steffen Ueltzhöfer, the visibility of the goods is a key success factor in the fresh produce sector. That's why he opted for the Sirius III counter system with two elements from the AirMaxx circular circulating air refrigeration counter for the meat, fish, cheese and sausage departments. And because he has the Swabian aspiration to always want to do a "little bit better" at every newly opened store, as a pilot customer he has set up six elements of the new TopSpot MIO+ series of self-service refrigerated counters. He expects the new AICHINGER series to provide more product visibility, more energy efficiency and, above all, more flexibility when it comes to assigning different temperature requirements.
With the new TopSpot MIO+ series from AICHINGER, products with different temperature requirements can be presented together for the first time in a self-service refrigerated counter. Ever faster changing food trends and consumption habits require self-service refrigeration units in the food retailing sector that can be used in a variety of ways and can be easily adapted to changes in the product range. The new AICHINGER TopSpot MIO+ series is ideal for the self-service range of meat, sausage, cheese, fish, fruit and vegetables. In addition, drinks or packaged salads and snacks can also be presented in an eye-catching way. The highly efficient refrigeration technology and the unique variability of the presentation forms made it possible to present products with different temperature requirements in a single refrigerated counter in a reliable, energy-efficient and HACCP-compliant manner.

Joe Wasner, Passau
Down-to-earth, sociable but also curious and adventurous - that was Hans Joe Wasner. The story of Hans Joe Wasner could be described in a nutshell: In the thirties he dared to make the leap to America. With only one dollar in his pocket, he started out like they do in the films: as a dishwasher in New York. But a short time later, the Bavarian master butcher became manager of a Chicago slaughterhouse.
Joe, as he was called by his American friends, was inspired by the "casualness" of American cuisine. Then back in Germany, he founded the traditional Wasner butcher's shop.
Years later - today with over 50 branches and 500 employees - Wasner's grandson Hannes Weber wants to continue the story in honour of his grandfather. Traditional butchery combined with a casual, American style of food and a first-class shop design - this is the new concept that was recently implemented as a pilot project in the Stadtgalerie Passau. For Hannes Weber, the visibility of the merchandise is an essential success factor. That's why he opted for the AICHINGER Gourmet counter section. In addition, the newly developed "Platte 64" was used, with which warm dishes can be presented in an exclusive manner and at the same time kept at a perfect constant temperature to the nearest degree. However, changing to other systems (GN containers) is still possible and thus guarantees maximum flexibility in daily handling. Thanks to the low recess depth, the area of use in the counter substructure is considerably increased and completely new possibilities are created in the design of the hot counter.

In a prominent location on Straßganger Straße, guests will find the Bakery Kern in a new building, where another impressive branch has opened. Bakery Küster - Strandhaus 37, Göttingen
With the Baker in the Caribbean!
Anyone in Göttingen who wants to immerse them self in a spontaneous short getaway, needn’t travel very far. As soon as you enter the new location of the Küster bakery, that holiday feeling comes naturally. Here you can immediately catch a glimpse of the AICHINGER ARTline counter: the wood that surrounds the ARTline counter is visually reminiscent of ship planks. The in-house caustic creations "Küstanien" lie in hammocks and are illuminated by light bulbs hanging from rugged mooring ropes. The swivel intermediate floor VarioFlip can easily disappear from the guests’ view after good sales in the late afternoon. Next to it, the so-called bread tower is positioned: a special design, which consists of three levels, where the lower two can be extended and thus easily filled.
An eye-catcher is the round recirculating air cooling counter AirMaxx. It is not only highlighted by the special lighting from we-shoplight, but also by its extraordinary design. The AirMaxx offers a 360 ° panoramic view of the many freshly baked pies and cakes. The bread rack Panevari Style skillfully sets baked goods into the background. Due to the extra-large and modular structure, each unit can be individually redesigned. In cooperation with AICHINGER, a unique oasis of well-being was created here

The Rommel bakery looks back on an 80-year history. In 1994, Master Baker Jürgen Rommel took over operation in its third generation and manages it still today. Under the motto "We are bakers and we remain bakers", the shop concept was fundamentally renewed together with AICHINGER. First, the bakery completely renounced all purchased goods. All bakery products are to be home-made without exception. In order to present them accordingly, AICHINGER was the right partner in the field of shop fitting. Beginning with a custom-made bread shelf up to the ARTline serving counter, a store concept was created that combines modern design with a special atmosphere and proven craftsmanship.

As in Neuravensburg, Langenargen and Weißensberg, the market in Kressbronn also offers a wide range of fresh foods. Unlike the other markets, Esslinger also offers a large catering area here. 19 years full of handcrafted quality – Kreuzer’s Backhäusla. On 1 January 2000, the first branch in Kulmbach was opened. Today owners Gaby and Jochen Kreuzer operate a total of 7 branches. According to the Kreuzer family, the recipe for success for the taste and quality of bread depends on the use of the finest and highest of quality raw materials, as well as natural and regularly controlled ingredients from the region.
With the opening of the new Kreuzers store in the "Fritz Einkaufszentrum" (Shopping Center), Kulmbach is now all the richer with another quality bakery. Already from the outside, you have a view of the extraordinary counter system in the entrance area. The ARTline counter is an individual special design with an exclusive, unsupported glass top whose front consists of oxidized glass.
In the spacious seating area with sturdy swinging elements you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch in peace or just relax with a hot cup of tea or coffee. The small communication spot made of bamboo cane serves as place for a quick stop or for today's on-the-go generation.
During the planning, not only was the best possible product presentation considered, but also optimized workflows. Even after several visits, throughout the 270 m², you can always discover something new.
Bakery Burkard, Burgebrach
A picturesque ambiance
The old mill is grinding again! The Burgebracher mill was built in the 17th century, and then already operated 3 millstones for grinding grain. Even if it is not now for the grain, but for the freshly roasted coffee beans, the ancient walls of the Burgebracher mill have now been extensively renovated and expanded so that the bakery Burkhard with the feel-good café “ Alte Kornmühle” (Old Grain Mill) has found its home. Of course, there is a diverse selection of artisan baked goods. For example, the bakery offers a sumptuous breakfast menu and countless delicious snacks. All these products have found a place in AICHINGER’s ARTline counter. This offers the perfect technology for hot and cold products and thanks to the support free glass top, sets the products into the perfect light. In the rear wall area, the PANEVARI® bread rack was installed. Whether breads, baguettes or pretzels, the PANEVARI® bread rack is perfectly matched to enhance the products. In the seating area, an historical reference to the mill was picked up again with historical photos so that the freshly bakery goods can be enjoyed in this historic flair.
Butcher Peipp, Schwanstetten
Franconian promise of enjoyment
In a new design and with a brand new name, „the Peipp“ celebrates its reopening in the middle Franconian town of Schwanstetten. They are especially happy as they already look back on a long family tradition which has long been based in Schwanstetten. With the new logo - a bull's head made of two P's standing next to each other - the family shows how proud they are of their craft.
Because of their varied range, the sales area and the kitchen could no longer be optimally used. Through a new layout of the store, the required space is now provided. With the AICHINGER SIRIUS3 refrigerated counter and the GOURMET hot counter with integrated SIRIUS HotSpot, the home made products are perfectly staged. In addition to the sausage, meat and cheese products, there is also the classic snack and a sweets corner with coffee and cake. In comfortable niches at the windows you can enjoy a weekly changing lunch menu, but also retreat with a hearty or sweet breakfast. The complete lighting concept in the shop area was planned and implemented by our lighting experts from we-shoplight.
Markthalle Braunschweig by real, Braunschweig
Market Hall Braunschweig
Just two years after real opened its first market hall in Krefeld, the same concept was also implemented in Braunschweig. And, at this location it will be no coincidence that the success of this model market hall will continue, as the market in Braunschweig had already been above average in profitability even before the conversion. As Braunschweig is a commuter city situated between the VW Wolfsburg and Salzgitter locations, the share of premium customers is correspondingly high.
When entering the new market hall, which is open from Monday to Saturday from seven to midnight, an inviting atmosphere welcomes you. Here no ordinary entrance awaits the customer, but instead a doorway into an extraordinary world of shopping. Already in the entrance area is the in-store bakery which is furnished with the AICHINGER ARTline counter. Each day a wide selection of homemade cakes, flans and pastries are freshly baked here and on offer.
The heart of the market is the fresh food area. AICHINGER success consultant, Ingolf Weiershaus planned the entire meat, sausage, fish and cheese department together with those in charge. Numerous module combinations provide the 40 m counter line with an exclusive look. That is exactly why the fresh food area is an absolute eye-catcher and underlines the high quality of the fantastic products. For instance, an exceptional quality and diverse assortment of cheeses from different nations awaits a connoisseur of cheeses. In addition to the top products SIRIUS3 and AirMaxx recirculating air cooling counter, the SIRIUS SetPOINT glass showcases round off an impressive and sophisticated product presentation. Especially impressive is the fish counter: in a large basin of ice, a wide and fresh selection of fish and fish delicacies are offered. In view of the wonderful response in Krefeld and the successful start in Braunschweig, real plans to soon follow with other market halls at other locations.
A Royal Atmosphere
Having breakfast between giant chandeliers and lots of gold? In the bakery boutique "Rundolfinchen" you can do just exactly that. Since the end of August this year, the fourth branch of the Bakery Rudolf in the center of Oberwart has been enchanting with "Rudolfinchen". The first-class AICHINGER ARTline counter with its support-free glass top has been perfectly integrated into the architectural expression of the building. The café offers all their guests a wide assortment of breads, pastries and tarts. In addition, the party snack "Rudolfinchen" is offered. The "Rudolfinchen" is a special pastry that is available either sweet or savory and is named after the bakery boutique. With 25 seats, the bakery provides space enough to fully enjoy the baked pastries. The high-quality materials and the extravagant, in-form design creates a royal atmosphere that could be handed over turnkey.
Krimmers Backstub, Untermuenkheim
Krimmers Backstub in Untermuenkheim has proven that this classic handcraft is still a trade in hand which finds gold in every land.
Actually, the Krimmer family had wanted to renew the store with the takeover. However, for financial reasons then, nothing came of it. After all, there were already two bakeries, a pre-baking station and a petrol station in Untermuenkheim. Through social networks, the Krimmer family then learned of AICHINGER. On the basis of AICHINGER’s variety of superbly designed and individual store concepts, the Krimmer family decided to go ahead with the reconstruction together with success consultant Daniel Schwarz. In execution of the concept, great care was taken to ensure that everything was perfectly in tune with the bakery’s product range and the location.
The 6.5 meter long ARTline counter was individually constructed with an exclusive glass top. Given the great amount of breads, a unique bread shelf was used. During the planning, not only the optimal presentation of goods was taken into consideration, but the storage space was also enlarged. Behind the counter there is now ten centimeters more space – which does not sound like much, but makes the work for the personnel much easier. To the old store with 36 m², a seating area of 30 m² was added. For this purpose, the former office was abandoned. And there was even room for a small winter garden annex.
Even after several visits to Krimmer’s Backstub, one always finds something new to discover. For example, a coat rack made out of rolling pins, the lampshades made out of baking pans or the bag rest in the form of a baker’s peel. And the customers are given a look into the bakery kitchen to watch the preparation of freshly baked goods.
Butchery Michel, Wurzbach
Small but WOW!
The Butcher’s Michel in Wurzbach is probably the smallest butcher’s which we have outfitted to date. In a modest 15 m² of retail space, there is now a 3 meter SIRIUS3 counter from AICHINGER. In addition to this, a small comfortable seating area was designed.
After more than 28 years, it was time to modernise the shop. The familiar external appearance remains intact, but the interior has changed completely. Products such as a roaster, Thuringer liver, and black pudding and are best sellers and certified as geographically protected products. And now in the multiple award-winning SIRIUS§ refrigerated counter with the integrated MaxxPoint, these products now also get their fitting place.
Bakery Hink, St. Pölten
Loyalty to the craft
Out of a passion for working the dough; out of a loyalty to the real craft. This is the motto of Bakery Hink from St. Poelten. The long-standing baking tradition was first brought into life in 1986 by Alois Hink. With his son Florian, a successor was quickly found and who took over his parents’ business at an early age and has to this day, developed it into a successful enterprise with 25 employees. The bakery is not represented only in its own stores, but also in retail within a radius of 60 km of St. Poelten. In addition, there are numerous customers who are personally catered for with homemade delicacies by the Hink family. There is only the best to choose from which is also reflected in the quality and design of the new hospital café at the University Hospital St. Poelten. So that the baked goods can also be perfectly presented, the master baker relied entirely upon the know-how of the shop fitting specialist AICHINGER, who developed the fitting success concept for the Hink Bakery. The result is a fine bakery café with an impressive seating area and modern stylistic elements as a real eye-catcher.
Globus Systemgastronomie, Leipzig
Where does the kebab come from?
The history of the doner kebab in Germany is clearly older than imagined. It has not only become part of the culture but almost worshipped. This oriental specialty belongs to the German fast food landscape such as curry sausage and hamburgers. Guest workers brought it with them from Turkey, changed it a bit and created a hot seller. In Turkey the grilled meat from the spit is served on a plate whereas here in Germany, it is served over the counter in flatbread – and namely over an AICHINGER counter. And so that the whole concept was right, the planning professionals from the Halle Office did the whole store at the same time. The result is a kebab store in an exclusive style; fresh colours, a clear design and a spacious interior with just the right lighting from we-shoplight.
Bakery Voncken, Kerkrade
The Dutch Art of Baking
The Bakery Voncken, with 19 specialist shops near the German border, has been cultivating its bread expertise for years and in the meantime has won many fans in Germany. Most recently, the Bakery Voncken opened a store in a shopping centre in Kerkrade. But they hadn’t been really happy there for a while. When the Voncken family was then offered an area for a café with 120m², they decided to make a move. Together with the support of AICHINGER, the Voncken family planned a new store concept. An important part of the store furnishings was of course, the new service counter. Here, a self-service area for packaged sliced bread was integrated. In addition, a closer look reveals that there is a notably wide selection on offer in the counter at the bakery. Thanks to the design of the AICHINGER ARTline counter, the small and fine pastries are in clear view. Firstly, the supports for the glass tops were moved back to behind the sales personnel. This allows the customer to enjoy a clear view of the products. Additionally, a part of the counter was designed as a warm area.
As far as the design in the seating area is concerned, not a thing was left to chance. For a comfortable atmosphere, a gas fireplace takes care of it.
Also, details such as the wooden or “heart wall” were selected from exclusive materials. The inviting atmosphere is only second to the decisive aspects of the quality of the products. All in all, years of shop fitting expertise go hand in hand with years of baking expertise.
QUAI4 – Simply good
QUAI4 Market Alpenquai from the social institution „Wärchbrogg“ in Luzern is the first and to date the only „Re-fill market” in Central Switzerland.
Wärchbrogg employs people – predominantly with mental illness – in sheltered workplaces. In the Quai4 Market, there are now 10 employees working who are accompanied and supported by qualified personnel. With more than 100 different foods such as pasta, muesli, nuts and grains, the market offers the possibility to refill the products as needed from the specially made AICHINGER Fill-in Station. Not only does the market pay special attention to sustainability in packaging: all the products in the market are either organic or from the region – for the most part both. Also in the store furnishings, priority was given to sustainability. With the award winning Sirius3 refrigerated counter, the market relies on an absolute efficient counter. Overall, the energy savings increase up to 42% compared with other refrigerated counters, setting a new standard in the industry. In addition, the night time power consumption is significantly reduced through the night time covers. The large crowds and the positive feedback confirm the success of this new concept.
Bäckerei Pfyl, Hausen am Albis
Bakery Café with an original flair
Bakery Pfyl in Hausen am Albis in Switzerland, which has a population of around 3,000, has enjoyed great, steadily increasing popularity, since 2004.
With the opening of the new store in the centre of Hausen, right next to the Postplatz, the new location can be described as a successful architectural jewel.
Beginning on the outside, the building with its red facade already attracts attention. Also inside, the finely classic store is convincing. Tempting confectionery and pastry products meet here in an impressively designed shop concept. The entire store, as well as the AICHINGER ARTline counter, consists for the most part out of real woods, creating a very harmonious picture. The special feature: with the help of the automatic retractable front panel, switching from full-operation to self- service mode becomes even easier. The free standing millstone in the middle of the service counter makes the entrance an absolute eye-catcher. Thanks to the high quality materials, the bakery accentuates both quality and naturalness. And an inviting seating area fits perfectly to the style of the store.
E-Center Ehlers, Soltau
A unique shopping atmosphere in E-Center Ehlers
Already at the beginning of the 70s, as one of the first large supermarkets in Soltau, the EDEKA Center Ehlers has experienced several structural transformations. After more than a decade, the old market will be replaced with a new building. The independent businessman, Ralf Ehlers, who already runs the EDEKA Markets in Bispingen, Schneverdingen, Hermannsburg and Faßberg, has now opened a modern, energy efficient full range food retailer on what was a former dairy farm in Soltau.
This new EDEKA Center has a sales area of over 3500 m² and provides ample space for a diverse and extensive range of products. Of course, the supermarket also offers a generous fresh food area. To be able to provide this high quality fresh assortment the perfect sales platform, those in charge built this implementation on the many years of AICHINGER expertise. All service counters have set new standards in the field of ergonomics, energy efficiency, reliability and design. In addition to the top product SIRIUS3, two different AirMaxx circular circulating air refrigeration counters and the MaxxPoint make an impressive and enhanced product presentation possible.
A further highlight in the market is the bakery in the entrance area. With the AICHINGER ARTline counter, customers have a clear view of the fresh baked goods.
Schafbock- und Lebkuchenbäckerei Goldapfel
Perfectly filled gingerbread, individually formed ram cakes and elaborate creations of chocolates entice the onlookers into the new shop in the middle of Einsiedeln.
The Goldapfel is the first and the oldest Schafbock and gingerbread bakery in Switzerland. With more than 150 years of history, the company business is one of the most traditional in the country.
The location in the centre of Einsiedeln, directly on the square of the monastery is ideal for the shop and could be quickly implemented into action together with AICHINGER success consultant Gerold Längle and his team.
For more than 100 years, the so called "Schafböcke", "Lebkuchen" and "Kräpfli" have been made at the Goldapfel. A fine, homemade almond and hazelnut filling gives the baked products their own delicate taste. Originally these specialties were intended for pilgrims and those who traveled to Einsiedeln to visit the monastery. Today, pilgrims are no longer the main clientele. Most customers are Swiss, including many locals who bring these Einsiedler specialities as gifts. All of these delicacies now find their place in a unique counter unit from AICHINGER and are perfectly set into the scene with just the right lighting concept by the lighting experts at we-shoplight.

The oval shaped special construction of our ARTline counter provides a harmonious and modern shop concept.
The first Dr. Oetker Café opens in Lucerne!
Ready-to-bake mixes, baking ingredients or pizzas: this is what Dr. Oetker, the well-known company for baking goods from East Westphalian Bielefeld, is famous for. In 40 different countries the brand products are sold. As a café, the company had not yet made an appearance. With the very first Dr.Oetker Café „Gugelhupf“ in the Neustadt of Lucerne, that’s exactly what has just happened.
In the new café, in addition to cakes and torts, bread and savoury meals are also served. What’s served on the premises is indeed fresh. Guests can even watch baking live. And if you like, you can also bake these delicacies at home. And: guests can also breakfast from morning to evening. Along with this broad variety of products is a distinctive shop design from AICHINGER. With elements of wood and a relaxed design, the shop suits Dr. Oetker’s philosophy perfectly. The café also offers seating for about 80 people. As of now, the crowds of people and the response have confirmed the success of the café.
Butchery Wenisch, Straubing
The most famous ox in Straubing is life size, made of solid wrought iron and stands in front of the Wenisch headquarters of enjoyment. A further 100 oxen belong to Wenisch as well but these live on the family owned Muggenthaler Hof.
The idea of having a family owned cattle farm was born together with their desire to simply have a farm of their own, which for senior managers Waltraud and Anton Wenisch, was fulfilled in 2013. Now – five years later – the result is „HOLY BEEF“, the brand introduction of high quality homebred meat of their own rearing. Their house slogan „HOLY BEEF“ not only stands for the meat, it also stands for the reflection on the origins, respect for the animal, the people and of course the craft.
The newly opened headquarters of enjoyment in Straubing shows from the outside what it’s all about; meat in its original and finest form. The floor to ceiling meat maturing room is visible from all sides and not only displays the classic cuts of meat but also entire ox quarters. In the SIRIUS®3 refrigerated counter, in addition to the classics such as Tomahawk steak chops, filets and roast beef, even unusual cuts such as Teres Major, Hanging Tender or Flat-Iron, are optimally cooled and presented. The flat glass display cabinet SIRIUS® SetPOINT compliments this fantastic shop concept and provides a wonderful view of the goods displayed. Comparable to the gems in a jewelry store, the finest delicacies in this new counter module are perfectly tempered and presented to the customer in a unique way. In the headquarters for enjoyment, it is above all about what is genuine and authentic; this is also shown in the materials used in the renovations. The aged wood of the exterior facade, solid wood and natural stone in the sales area skillfully round off the shop concept. Here these premium products are presented in a form which signalizes premium quality. A superbly designed butcher’s shop with more than a convincing concept – the Wenisch headquarters of enjoyment, a new beacon in the butcher industry.
Butchery Keusch, St. Georgen am Ybbsfelde
ois wurscht! / It’s all sausage!
This slogan of the butcher family Keusch from the Austrian Mostviertel region is both a statement and a promise of quality at the same time. The new building in St. Georgen am Ybbsfelde with an area of 156 m² in total, is the crowning of Master Butcher Erwin Keusch and his family’s now 25 years of experience in the field. In 1993, Keusch completed his Master Craftsman Examination, registered a livestock trade and two years later a butchers in Matzendorf about 5 km away. From 1998 to 2017, he successfully ran his butcher’s shop to which a branch was added in 2008.
At the new location, a few kilometers east of the city limits of Amstettens, somewhere round 20,000 cars pass by daily – an ideal base. Large format windows draw the customers attention to what awaits them inside: the SIRIUS 3 refrigerated counter from the house of AICHINGER. Through a sustainable brine cooling system it keeps the sausages and meat products continuously cooled. In addition, the butcher offers his customers an extensive lunch menu. This is perfectly set into the scene in the new snack bar. The interior seating for 30 and 80 outside seats expertly round off the shop concept.
ALL THE MEAT WE LOVE!
Exceptionally good meat is well-received in Luxemburg! You do not even have to leave the house because the products from MEATBROS come directly to you. When looking for meat that is more than special in Luxemburg, it is difficult to make the right choice as the number of products on offer is very large. To help the consumer choose, Tom Metzler and Alison Belnou came up with the idea of creating an online shop which delivers the best meats from Luxemburg and around the world in less than 24 hours. The fresh meat is accompanied with recipes, tips and videos which guarantee that every piece of meat is a perfect success. The whole thing happens from the new store in Niederanven (Luxemburg). EDEKA Kels, Ratingen
EDEKA Kels – Marketplace of Freshness
In 1900, the Ratinger machine factory was established as „Ullrichs & Hinrichs AG“ and began their production of various iron and metal goods and machinery in the factory built in 1899 on today’s Homberger St. The existing production facility which consists of several sections of building (coppersmiths, assembly hall, iron foundries among others) specialized in the most diverse manufacturing over the course of time. In 1978, the company which remained solvent up to the end was closed due to general economic and technical developments, leaving behind its prominent landmark in the town of Ratingen. In 1986, Rita and Theo Kels then opened the EDEKA Kels Supermarket in these historic halls. At that time the store concept was already considered one of the largest and most modern of its time and as a result, in 1995 the coveted title of “Supermarket of the Year” was awarded. Despite a renovation in 2002, the facility seemed to be becoming somewhat outdated. Based on this and the tight space conditions, in 2006 the new construction of the branch store was begun on 2,850 square meters in the former Ratinger machine factory. In close cooperation with AICHINGER success consultant Ingolf Weiershaus and his team from the planning office Haan, the project was planned and redesigned. The extensive product assortment extends from the classic convenience products, traditional bakery in the foyer up to an extravagant fresh food area with all kinds if delicacies which are perfectly staged in an impressive presentation. In order to provide the perfect sales platform for these high quality fresh products, those responsible for execution of the fresh foods area and bake shop, built this fully and completely on the many years of expertise from this Franconian company. All service counters set new standards in terms of ergonomics, energy efficiency, reliability and design. Thanks to the precision „MADE IN GERMANY“ production, all elements installed stand for the highest in convenience of maintenance and operational reliability.

Café Confiserie Craigher, Friesach
A chocolate paradise of the highest quality!
“When fine chocolate smoothly melts on the palate and the taste of harmoniously combined ingredients delicately unfolds, you will close your eyes and simply enjoy happiness.”
This is what chocolate manufacturer Craigher has stood for, for more than 100 years. With much love for the trade, the Craigher hand-crafted chocolates are made from high quality and natural ingredients from the region and choice cocoa beans from sustainable cultivation. Piece by piece these unique originals are created. The traditional confectionery was founded in 1914 in Carinthia. And it is here where it looks back on a long tradition. Carinthia’s first steam bakery was transformed into a coffee house with show production. After the Craigher family purchased a vacant neighboring building and connected it with the existing café, the building, together with specialists from AICHINGER, was extensively rebuilt. Over approx. 300 m² a sweet chocolate manufacturer – in Carinthia that is so far unique – came into being. Behind a large glass front, visitors can watch live how bars of chocolate are made. A real gourmet hotspot is the adjacent coffee house – here the premium products are set perfectly on stage. The entire counter balustrade was clad with the bark of an African fig tree and creates a visual highlight in the shop. The highest quality materials and an extravagant highly pronounced design provide a unique atmosphere.
OSI Food Solutions, Gersthofen

The animals live mainly in open pens where they can move about freely.
For the headquarters in the Senefelderstraße in Gersthofen, an existing building was converted into an office center for the currently around 80 employees. Our specialists from AICHINGER Professional Kitchens have done an incredible job in equipping the European headquarters of OSI with a superbly designed, top quality and functional industrial kitchen. Confectionary Pöhl, Meran
The Sweet Heart of the South
In search of high-quality chocolates, artistically decorated cakes as well as delicious brioche, there is only one place in the heart of Merano. The confectionary offers home-made creations for breakfast, lunch and also snacks in the afternoon. Confectioners prepare everything freshly on a daily basis and in careful manual work for the customers. The attention to detail and the passion for handcraft becomes visible in every detail and turns the new site to the premier address at town. The new store concept does not only include the pastry shop and the confectionary but also a small café with 28 seats. The idea to offer this combination as of now had anchored in the heads of the owners Manuela and Christoph Pöhl rather quickly. However, the location and the size of the store area were not at all suitable for such a business. After a long search, the suitable premises were found in the centre of Merano.
The location in the centre of Kurstadt is ideally suited for this project which was quickly realized in cooperation with the AICHINGER success consultant Andreas Raab and his team. The major challenge was to also relocate the whole production from the previous location and to create a homogenous overall concept. The heart of the new store is the completely paned show pastry shop which gives a great glimpse into confectionary trade from the cosy café. The unique „ARTline“ counter by AICHINGER is certainly the best way to present all those sophisticated delicacies. Family Pöhler is well prepared for the future with a state-of-the-art cooling technology and the unsupported angled glass construction. This counter combines modern design with numerous ergonomic and technical finesses. Top-class materials and long-lasting know-how stand for „MADE IN GERMANY“. Bakery Lasser, Schladming
Bakery Lasser – We represent exceptional taste.
The story began with a small but nice leased bakery in Schladming in 1964. With its new types of bread and pastries, bakery Lasser became well known beyond Schlamding’s border and the constructing of new a business building was started. Due to the quick development of tourism and the resulting increased demand for bakery products another five stores were built in addition to the main store in Schladming. Today, with some 35 employees, bakery Lasser is one of the most innovative bakery plants and its branches are equipped according to the most modern product guidelines. Therefore, it was time to redesign the bakery and to increase the sales area of 80 m² by 10% in the course of the reconstruction. A newly designed portal can now be opened completely to the south, thus offering a smooth and barrier-free access to the outside terrace. The former office spaces were fully integrated into the new room concept in order to guarantee smooth proceedings in the rear preparation rooms. Interaction with people and close customer proximity are of the highest priority. Therefore, the redesigned toilet facility, which used to be located in the basement is now accessible.
A completely new addition to the product range is also the rich breakfast buffet which can be extended very easily to twice of the current size due to a foldable serving counter. At the outset, Heinz Lasser, the owner, was not really convinced of this expansion of the product range as he had doubts concerning economic efficiency. However, after only a few weeks all doubts vanished. According to Mr Lasser, the major success of this was that his employees had to take more care of the beverages and could handle frequency peaks without further employees.
The attractive ARTline sales counter made by AICHINGER is located at an exposed position right in the customers’ frame. Thanks to the unsupported glass top, nothing impairs the visibility of the presented products. Due to regional bonds to the Loden cloth, this robust fabric was used for covering the whole parapet of the counter, the bar, the wardrobe and the entire set of seats. The company logo at the front of the counter was originally embroidered by hand by the region’s largest Loden cloth producer. The reconstruction work, the materials used and the excellent lightning of the premises, which was provided by we-shoplight make the bakery Lasser to be a real treasure chest.
Handcrafted art of backing meets modern design!
Targeted cooperation is the best way for traditional backers to be able to resist the market pressure, which is exerted by industrially produced pastries, thought Karl Breu from Altdorf and Maximilian Oberprieler from Landshut. This idea has been then realised quickly and this is how BROTmacher was created on 1st May 2015. This “alliance” stands for handcrafted art of backing where all types of dough and dough pieces are produced on the basis of old family recipes. BROTmacher always has the right offer for lovers of handcrafted breads and pastries – particularly also for lovers of spelt – made of reginal ingredients. With the merger of both master bakers the product range was extended with focus on customer needs. From now on, handcrafted art of backing meets a wide variety of pastries and bread specialties.
In order to provide the appropriate sales presentation for the great products, the multi specialist from AICHINGER were certainly the only one to come into consideration for the newly opened store at Wittstraße in Landshut. A great café with outdoor seating and drive-in-counter was built with success consultant Georg Oberloher and his whole team. There is a lot to be discovered on generous 290 m². Contrasty seating with accents of colours, atmospheric light concept as well as the unique ARTline counter by AICHINGER. The frameless glass top does not offer only a perfect view of the presented goods but also suits the unique ambience at the salesroom. All combined stylistic elements perfectly fit into the store concept and thus creates a great feel-good atmosphere. Those who are in a hurry can simply use the drive-in-counter and will get the entire product range to go.

The suitable location was found and leased at a later point in time. All the planned details were correct straightway and there were only tiny changes which were to be made according to the existing space concept. Butchery Kallert, Fürth/Puschendorf
Success can be built
You can take this phrase literal. Best proof is the rural franconian butchery Kallert in Puschendorf, which is experiencing substantial economic growth ever since remodeling their shop together with our AICHINGER success consultant Stefan Jugel. The courage of the owners Roland and Walter Kallert to go for a bold new concept paid off. That the days of being a simple town butchery are over is more than obvious. A front of high quality natural stone and a new designed logo make you curious for what´s waiting inside. This butchery has become the hotspot for meat-lovers in the Nürnberg region. Word of the new concept, high quality products and the devotion of the Kallert brothers has spread.
Upon entering the store the customers focus is immediately on the two round cooling counters that fit seamlessly in the SIRIUS 3 cooling counter. These two turned out to be the major attraction and allow a great view over the displayed products. “It just has more movement and action” Walter Kallert states “you just turn in whatever direction you like and make the customers notice. And they do!” “Selling just makes more fun with it, it´s like a rush!”
This subjective evaluation can be supported by hard facts – 103 kilos of delicacy salads are being sold each week. The average turnover of the individual customer has risen to a branch peak of 19,70 Euros. Of course these a numbers that impress. But the appetite for change and progress of the two brothers goes even further. Two low glass cooling counters “SIRIUS SetPOINT” for steaks and dry-aged beef complete this innovative shop concept. These display counters with their thick glass panels are only opened after a thorough consultation and offer a great view of the displayed delicacy. Not unlike jewels inside a jewelers display, the pieces of prized meat are protected and still can be show to the interested customer in a unique way. Who remodels his shop does so in the expectancy to sell more afterwards and here it worked. So success can be built with you multi-specialist AICHINGER.

Butchery Dietzel, Halle
Superb craftsmanship with a nostalgic look
In 1932 Arno Dietzel opened his first butchery in the then quieter Ossietzky Street in Halle. This first store still exists, now with a new but vintage look. After extensive remodeling work with our success consultant Michael Hergenhan and his team, the shop now shines with new splendor and a vintage touch. Bold letters above the entrance say “Tradition and Quality in the third generation” and this is reflected in every little detail inside the store.
The former sales space was remodeled into a comfortable seating and eating area while preserving it´s 1932 charm. A few steps lead up to the new extended sales area, this addition giving the opportunity and space to display new products according to the customers varied tastes. The little butchery in the center of the city transformed itself into a new trending location to comfortably enjoy traditional food and drinks. The family Dietzel decided, that the heart of the new interior should be AICHINGER´s SIRIUS 3 cooling counter. The modern design of this award winning counter harmonizes perfectly with the nostalgic look of the new shop. New technology meeting tradition. Thanks to the new support-less glass tops the owners now have the possibility to present warm, ready to eat meals in a fresh and appetizing manner.

Bakery Riesenhuber, Aschbach
A specialist for creative delicacies
Workmanship, years of experience and passion for baking are some of the key aspects that helped build the success story of Riesenhuber. Since 1990 this long-standing company has been led by the family Riesenhuber, now with Barbara and Christian by their fourth generation. To assure profitable and sustainable growth in the future, the owners opened a new foothold in Aschbach in Lower Austria in 2016. With 100% of passion, proven recipes and the best regional ingredients available they create inspired delicacies with love and craftsmanship.
As in the three other already existing locations before, the bakery Riesenhuber entrusted AICHINGER and their experienced success consultants Andreas Raab with creating the perfect furnishing with quality and style. Rustic elements and modern presentation were combined to form a unique design concept. But just as much emphasis was put on ergonomic details and perfectly organized workflows and that was why AICHINGER was again chosen as the optimal partner for this project.
On entering the new store located inside the old city hall of Aschbach, you can´t help but notice by the unique charm and detail with which the interior was planned and implemented. The stunning result proves once more the qualities of AICHINGER as a success consultant.
Sale counter with several levels
The new interior design concept is dominated by bright and friendly colors of warm beige, bright white as well as the now trending green. The whole shop is equipped with indirect lighting by our lighting specialist we-shoplight and offers comfortable seating possibilities for 69 people. This is appreciated by the customers and so they extend their stay a bit longer, while enjoying the tasty breakfast buffet displayed on the bar next to the sales counter. Harmonizing perfectly with the interior design of the shop is the cooling counter ART-line with its support free glass tops and the flexible extra presentation level Vario-Flip. They both create the perfect display area for all the baked delicacies this store has to offer and is in direct sight for the entering customer. The bread display shelves of PANEVARI-Style with their levels in rustic slate underline the artisanal origin of the offered products. Again our experienced lighting partner we-shoplight chose the optimum illumination and manages to guide the customer’s eye to the displayed baked goods via energy saving LED-lighting.

Traditional baker's craft and best ingredients
The newly opened shop of the bakery Rainer is noted on the shopping list of many gourmets. That is because their varied and fresh selection of exquisite ingredients is a guarantee of especially tasty and healthy baked goods. On top of that, the bakery features also a lovely café/tavern located in a former community hall.
The job of Aichinger's facility experts was to widen the entrance portal and create an all-new shop concept in order have enough room to include many new functions. Now, decorative “airflakes” on glass panels all over the place absorb disturbing noises and optimise the room acoustics. A natural stone floor in two colours beautifully contrasts with the warm-coloured wood furniture. The purpose of these measures was to create a stylish atmosphere that makes guests feel as comfortable as possible. Also, the owner Mrs. Rainer contributed her long-standing experience and personal taste in the realisation of the project. As a result, the very harmonious cooperation led to a completely new and more functional shop concept.
Franz & Xaver BioDeli

The BioDeli in Kempten specialises on serving healthy “favourite dishes” and offers a diversified selection of vegetarian and vegan meals fresh from their kitchen. A touch of BioDeli can be found in all the furnishings and makes up for a coherent overall concept together with Aichinger's ARTline counter. Its pillar-free glass top allows for an extensive view on the offered foods. This attractive way of presentation fits just perfectly to the high-quality BioDeli products straight from the heart of the Allgäu, Bavaria.

The Leonardi Arabeska is a place full of creativity and communication. A round counter was integrated into the room perfectly by the Aichinger experts. Its spacious glass attachments allow for a superb view on the décor behind the well-deigned food pass.

A professional makeover for the better
For more than 30 years of success, the butchery Schader resides in Tarnsweg in Salzburg state, Austria. When the time for a complete renovation of their premises came, Aichinger was asked for help to refurbish the 300-year-old building and give it a new shine. The problems to be solved were a much too dark shop, a not properly working counter, and a rather badly visible display. Of course, Aichinger Advisor Ernst Sommerauer gave top priority to the owners' individual wishes and needs.
For maximum functionality, beneficial energy-efficiency, and temperature stability of the counter, the top product SIRIUS®3 was installed. Its reliability, comfortable maintenance, and an accurately fashioned wood décor are perfect examples of quality made in Germany. Thanks to its length of more than 7.5 metres, there is plenty of space for the presentation of selected delicacies now. Behind the counter, a perfectly integrated giant fridge attracts views to the best pieces of meat. For sure, you will find no ready-made products in the butchery Schader – exclusively, traditionally handmade natural sausage and meat products are on sale. Always fresh and distinctively delicious in taste!
In order to preserve part of the rustic appearance of the building, warm shades of wood are dominant in the shop concept. This naturally comfortable atmosphere is further emphasised by the lighting design of our partners from we-shoplight, and can dynamically be adjusted to the time of day. Mirrors applied on a large scale make the room appear considerably bigger, warmer, and friendlier. The butchery Schader is very happy how a radical change for the better is noticeable in their shop.
Die Tortenkomponisten, Söding
The 100 % organic bakery
Organic is more than a short-lived trend – it is a completely different approach to life. Organically produced food not only tastes better and has better nutrition values, there is also the aspect of active environment protection. Therefore, “die Tortenkomponisten” (German for “the cake composers”) stand for organic ingredients, saving resources, and traditional craftsmanship in the production.
Knowing that valuable ingredients and love for detail are a good recipe for success, Sabrina and Manuel Mauerhofer asked Aichinger for help with the equipment of their “organic paradise”. Now, after the installation of a beautifully round ARTline counter with angular glass attachment, their great choice of tarts can be showcased in an almost spectacular and perfectly protective way. The result is an outstanding organic pleasure for both the palate and the eye.
Bakery Haubis, Melk
Baked goods fresh from the oven twenty-four-seven
Bread, pastry, snacks, or flour-based dishes are quite common in bakehouses, whereas an inviting atmosphere is more rare. At the bakery Haubis, you can have both: a bakery in its classical sense, and the convenient ambience of a café or restaurant – the perfect place to enjoy a comprehensive range of good foods.
For an appealing presentation of goods, an ARTline counter was delivered and installed by Aichinger. On two floors, there is plenty of room for guests to enjoy an overall experience of culinary pleasures and relaxed lounging. The smell of freshly baked bread and the play of atmospheric lighting design do their part making it easy to have a wonderful time in this bakery – anytime!
Pirineu en Boca, Barcelona
Local delicacies from Catalonia
If you feel hungry for a small treat when most of the restaurants are already closed, the Prineu en Boca is the place to go: In the front of the shop, there is a traditional butchery offering its delicacies. In the back, there is a lovely restaurant with an open kitchen. Here, cosy rustic furnishings dominated by warm shades of wood and strong colours create an inviting atmosphere. In the spacious interior and on seats outside, guests can immediately taste the local products they bought. Opening hours are from midday to eleven o'clock pm. Next to meat dishes, also a great variety of cakes and sweets can be found on the comprehensive menu.
Geroldsauer Mill, Baden-Baden
A unique shopping place in the midst of a fascinating landscape
Following the motto „Local products from the Black Forst“, the Gerauldsauer mill project brings together the best products of a wonderful region. Adding to the regional and seasonal foods, Germany's biggest silver fur building close to the urban district of Baden-Baden also offers conference facilities, comfortable guest rooms, a rustic restaurant with beer garden, and the most beautiful view on a natural environment also known as the gateway to the Black Forest.
In order to present their products to guests in an appealing way, the presentation of regional specialities and a selection of traditionally produced foods covers a total area of 650 m². In this way, the atmosphere of the shop lives up to the hospitality typically associated with Baden. Meat and sausage products are properly presented and cooled in refrigerated SIRIUS® counters with pillar-free ARTline glass tops. For an even more prominent exposure, there is a special cabinet for the ripening of dry-aged beef behind the counter that lures the customers to buy its delicious contents. Yet another highlight is the fascinating front design of the VERSIO® bakery counter with its angular shaped glass attachment. All in all, the shop concept successfully manages to combine attractive modern architecture with a homely interior design in every detail: Copper-coloured lights above the many and varied goods display create an especially pleasant atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Stylish accessories and the warm colours of wood make the stay at the Geroldsheimer mill almost feel like an experience of nature.

REWE Kramer, Recklinghausen
Hightech by the metre
From the outside, the new REVE Kramer in Recklinghausen looks like a normal food retail market. Quite surprisingly, the fresh food area inside features a 44-metre-long counter are: The refrigerated SIRIUS3® counter with its noble wood look and a straight-lined shape is probably the most impressive eyecatcher in the market. Also, the round “AirMaxx” counter with its innovative air cooling is quite an attraction. And for the presentation of fresh fish and other delicacies, yet another highlight, the “SeaMaxx” counter, was installed.
A lot of know-how was put in to realise this project. In the end, the Planning Office Haas together with Aichinger Advisor Ingolf Weiherhaus managed to build the perfect stage for showcasing fine food and inspiring customers.
Reichl Bread, Neuhofen
Baking as an art form
Patrick and Sandra Reichl are the fourth generation in their family business. When they serve customers with fresh products daily, they do it with full commitment: “Baking is an obligation to produce healthy food of the best quality.” This statement sums up the non-industrial orientation of the more than 100-year-old bakery. But, the Reichls also have a very modern side, which shows well in their new branch with integrated café in Neunhofen.
Thanks to the cooperation with Aichinger, the new shop surprises visitors from the very moment they come in: The design features a lot of aged oak wood. As a nice contrast to that, the ARTline counter “Corian” is white-coloured, which also perfectly showcases the baked goods. And thanks to a rimless, relocatable glass attachment, highlight products can be put in an even more prominent place.
In the café, there is an area with convenient, thickly padded, brown-coloured seats and thanks to its pillar-free construction, it seems to be hovering in the room. A splendid wooden wall contributes to the overall comfortable atmosphere and reminds of the bakery's tradition of craftsmanship. On the more modern side of design, there is the lighting concept that was planned and realised by the experts from we-shoplight. Altogether, the high-class interior furnishings create a perfect frame for Reichl's exceptional bread specialities: The art of baking!
EMO Maitre Boucher
EMO – a token of long-standing butchery tradition
Since 1869, the brand EMO is a synonym for quality and know-how in the butchery craft. The success story of the traditional chain of shops comes to life daily in twelve subsidiaries around the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and attracts a great number of customers.
Since the reopening in summer 2015, a sales area of about 80 m² customers invites customers to enjoy a modern shopping atmosphere. The refrigerated counter SIRIUS® with its pillar-free ARTline glass-top presents specialities in a masterfully appetizing way. Four big cabinets for the dry-aged beef in the back of the counter give an impressive display of their contents thanks to integrated LED lighting. The consistent appearance of the shop furnishing concept puts emphasis on the skilful craftsmanship of the widely successful chain and fits in neatly in every single branch.
Bakery Kern, Graz
Master bakery catches the sun and the customers' eyes
In March 2015, a new speciality retail market opened in Graz, Austria, at the Wiener Straße 333. According to the motto „Comfort for everybody“, the operator promises a diversified shopping experience with numerous culinary options. Of course, a bakery must not be missing in the range of shops!
The branch of the bakery Kern has an exposed position – right at the courtyard of the shopping centre, under an impressive roof construction. With the help of a sophisticated mirror construction, sunlight is directed into the bakery shop and its outdoor area. From three sides, customers and passers-by can look through large window panels right into the shop where a great range of delicious products is on display in long counters.
Premium food chain relies on SIRIUS®3
The Hungarian food retail market chain Prima uses the refrigerated counter SIRIUS®3 in its new market in Szeged. Just perfect for an inviting fresh produce area, the construction was planned and realised by Aichinger Advisor Ernst Sommerauer from our Planning Office in Graz, Austria, and the Hungarian architect from Wanzl Shopfitting Solutions. Numerous further counter modules like MaxxPoint or SeaMaxx draw attention to special offers and products. Thanks to factory-provided piping installations, the integration into the overall refrigeration system as well as the first-time operation ran absolutely smoothly and quickly.
Country bakery Schmidt, Königstein
Exciting view behind the curtain
The metropolitan area of Dresden, Saxony, has another “transparent manufacture”: The country bakery Schmidt built a new bakehouse outside of the city of Königstein in the midst of a green environment. For its planning and realisation, especially for the integration of a shop café, Aichinger Advisor Steffen Pohl was asked for help already at the very start of the project.
The bakery and the salesroom are directly connected and only separated by slim barrier tape. In this way, curious customers can watch the baking process, or even have a chat with the bakers. Moreover, it is possible to take a round tour over the gallery and see the place in full view from above.
The new shop manages the balancing act between modern architecture and comfortable furnishings: Copper-coloured lights and opulent chandeliers fill the empty space below the high ceiling. Warm shades of wood and the colour yellow, which is also part of the bakery's corporate design, create a pleasant atmosphere with exciting accents. In the completely transparent ARTline counter, which features a dry and a refrigerated area, baked goods are presented in the most attractive way. And behind the counter, there is enough room to prepare all the goodies – from breakfasts and fresh snacks to hot and cold drinks.
