Butchery Schlösser, Düsseldorf

A new appearance tailor-made for an existing shop.

The AICHINGER sales expert  Helmut Behrens already advised the butchery Schlösser at Düsseldorf in a former project. In autumn 2007 the owner Helmut Schlösser again contacted AICHINGER.

The challenge was to give the existing shop a new look and equipment within 1.5 weeks only. The counter, the rear wall and all refrigeration units needed to be renewed. At the same time the existing tiles and glass ceiling should be maintained.

For the AICHINGER experts it meant that especially the counter line had to strictly match with the tiles' alignment. Besides the customised counters also customised furnitures had to be developed and built into the rear wall smoothly.

In order to find a satisfying solution to this situation the existing wall covering made of large marble plates had to be raised, recut and reset. Lintols that had not been visible before had to be laid and slots to be renewed. Aichinger however was responsible not only for conceptualisation and planning but also for construction site supervising thus attending the project completely.

As core basic elements an AICHINGER SIRIUS® Plus counter of 9.3 m with a straight uplift glass top and a rear wall cooling of 1.4 m with mirrored glass top for special meat were built in. 0.9 resp. 1.1 m display counters for cheese and salads? presentation with circulating cooling were added. Moreover underneath cooling with refrigerated drawers, hotplates and bain-maries were included.

The modernised counters and refrigerated units allow a first-class product presentation better cared for and more striking. The customers' positive feedback after the reopening on September 20, 2007 was immediate. And Helmut Schlösser himself was proud of his shop full of traditions but showing a new face.
