Always different - never the same
Oliver Unrath comes from a family who can look back on four generations in the triving life of a baker?s trade. Previously with its own restaurant, from which the Crown Bakery today gets its name, the bakery has for the last 100 years, offered its products with the motto, literally, as "the crown" or the "tops". The conception, the planning and the installation of the newest store, the "panaderia" in the center of Esslingen-Berkheim, lay first in the hands of AICHINGER consultant, Uwe Dorner.
The main idea was firstly to create a modern bakery-café especially with an accent on its gastronomic offers. And to that effect, the result is fresh and spacious. Directly at the entrance, a mobile ice cream counter was planned in. In winter, this counter piece can be converted back into the standard presentation surface area. Additionally, a variety of possibilities to present products are provided with VarioFlip's swinging intermediate shelf and in the rear area, with the revolving bread shelf from PANEVARI twin. Oliver Unrath finds the endless possibilities PANEVARI twin offers, so "brilliant" that in the future, he would like to use it in other stores as well: "It is flexible - some products are seen better in the round basket, whereas some goods are better presented standing on end - at the same time, PANEVARI provides, even with only a few items, the impression of a well stocked display. And when this display is really empty, it can easily be rotated 180°". Unrath is also very positive about the pillarless constuction of the ARTline-Theke. "The products simply look richer and of higher quality."
Curved lines guide the customer to the rear section of the store, where they can find a generous variety of gastronomical offers. Here a pass-through connects the sales floor area with the kitchen, which was also designed by AICHINGER.
A design made of horizontal wooden panels divides the eating area-from the sales floor and is also transparent enough to avoid being perceived as a barrier. In an easy-going atmosphere, one can have a relaxed breakfast or lunch or simply enjoy one of the many coffee specialities .... for many, the "crown" or the "top" to a long day.
