As long-established company with 7 branches the bakery Schwyter is an integral part of the city St. Gallen all times. Therefore it suggested itself to the son of the owner Patrick Schwyter to be part of the game with regard to the shopping arena under the football stadium. Besides IKEA and COOP there are 70 shops, but only one "Stadium?s Bakery" which is the bakery Schwyter.
As the Schwyter family in the past always opted for the same shop fitting company everyone supposed this time the same procedure. But this time it was different. Patrick Schwyter already had the idea of a new branch in his mind. He thought about creating a little oasis of well-being in the middle of the refreshing ambiance of the shopping centre, all with natural materials in order to transport the warmth of an old traditional bakery.
Along a trade show Patrick Schwyter discussed these ideas with the AICHINGER representative Gerold Längle. He asked him to simply submit an offer without any commitment. Within shortest time a shop concept was born that appealed to the Schwyter family from the very first moment through its intuitional realisation. The result is a bakery-bistro solution equipped with solid wood - stained beech - and a laminate floor with wooden optics. The highlights of the vending zone are a display counter made of granite with rustic twin lights from we-shoplight and a bread shelf for pastry gifts. In addition you have an open space for preparing goods and a seating zone with 25 seats as well as a refrigerated self-service display case for drinks and a laminate covering of the ovens that looks like natural stone.
At the end of March 2008 "Stadium's Bakery Schwyter" opened up according to plan and brought the issues to the point: "If the shop fitting company succeeds in still exceeding with the shop realisation the imagination of the customer's not always simple ideas and perceptions then you can, without any exaggeration, talk of a true masterpiece, a bakery shop born through perfect cooperation."
