Fish & Co.: Family-friendly consumption concept creates appetite for more.
"Everything began with an idea, a vision of a gastronomic concept that was modern, family-friendly and successful in every way," explains Jeffery Gocht.
Up until that point the family business, already in its third generation, had successfully been conducting its fish business "on the road": with mobile sales vehicles. Gocht's fish delicatessen has made its mark for over 40 years at markets between Frankfurt and Karlsruhe. With a lot of passion and the right insights regarding fish and fish products, the company has developed into one of the leading providers in the entire Rhine-Neckar area.
Under the motto "We offer more" the Fish House in Speyer was opened in 2011, offering a combination of consumption and sales. "With the Fish House we have entered new territory. The gastronomic concept is a complete success. The know-how provided by Peter Hillich in this regard was invaluable to us," says Jeffery Gocht. AICHINGER consultant Peter Hillich and his team from the planning office in Wiesbaden were involved in the project from the very beginning. In addition to the concept, functional planning and design, responsibility for the entire construction process was assumed. "That enabled us to devote our time to other essential activities - because, of course, for us the day-to-day business continued as usual during this time," says Gocht.
The Fish House offers a consumption concept that is unique in the region. The claim of extraordinary freshness and quality that one encounters at Gocht's at the weekly markets has been implemented here at the gastronomy level. The area behind the counter is visible to the customers, all dishes are prepared fresh and the products are presented hygienically and safely in the SIRIUS® refrigerated counter. Short distances and well-thought-out workflows save time and money and, thanks to modern technology, energy consumption is also kept to a minimum.
